Usman Khawaja Predicts David Warner Will Score A “Truckload Of Runs” In The WTC Final.

Before Australia’s match against India in the 2023 WTC final, opener Usman Khawaja praised longtime partner David Warner and said he thought the southpaw would do well on the future tour.

The final of the World Test Championship (WTC) will be played on June 7 at the Ovals in London between the Australian team and the Indian team. Warner’s own standards say that he has been in bad shape overall. Last year, he showed how good he was when he hit an amazing 200 in his 100th Test match against South Africa on Christmas Day in Melbourne.

Warner will now try to change his bad form and show how skilled and experienced he really is.

“Really, this is the best I’ve seen Davey hit in the cages in the last few days. It’s been great to see. It’s just the way he moves and hits the ball,” Khawaja said.

“I’ve played a lot of cricket with him, and I’ve batted against him throughout my career, both in Test cricket and at the state level,” said the Australia opener. “You can just tell when he’s moving well.”

Khawaja said that he wouldn’t be surprised if Warner got a “truckload of runs” in England.

“He’s an active player, and you can tell when that’s happening because he plays a lot of shots. I wouldn’t be surprised if he came out and scored a ton of runs here, because that’s what Davey does. “It seems like every time his back is against the wall, he scores runs,” he said.

Australia’s Squad For The WTC Final:
Pat Cummins (captain), Scott Boland, Alex Carey, Cameron Green, Marcus Harris, Josh Hazlewood, Travis Head, Usman Khawaja, Marnus Labuschagne, Nathan Lyon, Josh Inglis, Todd Murphy, Steve Smith, Mitchell Starc, and David Warner

Mitch Marsh and Matt Renshaw are on the bench.
