The West Indies quickly regain their form amid England’s squad reshuffle.

West Indies

Two alterations have been made to the West Indies’ playing group in preparation for the final two Twenty20 Internationals at home against England.

At present, the Caribbean side holds a 2-1 advantage in the five-match series. A triumph in either the fourth game on Tuesday in Trinidad or the final match on Thursday at the same venue would be sufficient to secure the series triumph.

They have decided to substitute pacer Oshane Thomas and experienced batsman Shimron Hetmyer for fast bowler Alzarri Joseph and experienced batter Shimron Joseph, respectively, for the final two matches of the series.

With a view toward the West Indies’ tour of Australia next month, during which they will compete in a total of six white-ball contests (three ODIs and three T20Is) and two Tests against the reigning ICC World Test Championship champions in Adelaide and Brisbane, the decision has been made to rest Joseph.

Joseph is an integral member of the fast-bowling unit for the West Indies across all three formats. With six scalps, he is presently tied for the most wickets taken in the Twenty20 International series against England.

West Indies squad:

Rovman Powell (c). Shai Hope (vc), Johnson Charles, Roston Chase, Matthew Forde, Jason Holder, Akeal Hosein, Brandon King, Kyle Mayers, Gudakesh Motie, Nicholas Pooran, Andre Russell, Sherfane Rutherford, Romario Shepherd, Oshane Thomas.
