Sunil Gavaskar On India Batter’s Lean Patch: “Body Language Not Like Virat Kohli.”

Everyone was awestruck by Rahul’s fantastic knock because he had previously been struggling and had been benched from the team after consecutive failures.

On Friday, Team India started the 3rd ODI series IND vs AUS with an impressive five-wicket victory. After choosing to bowl first, they restricted Australia to 188 with three wickets each from Mohammed Siraj and Mohammed Shami. However, India faced an early setback as they lost five wickets for only 83 runs. Nevertheless, KL Rahul came to the rescue with unbeaten innings of 75 runs off 91 balls, leading Hardik Pandya’s team to victory in just 39.5 overs. Rahul’s outstanding performance earned him praise, as he had been struggling for runs and had been dropped from the team due to consecutive failures.

Former Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar praised KL Rahul after India’s victorious performance in the first ODI against Australia and drew a comparison between Rahul and star batsman Virat Kohli, highlighting their differing body language. Gavaskar noted that despite Rahul’s technique and temperament, his body language was not as confident as Kohli’s. However, Rahul’s unbeaten knock of 75 runs off 91 balls in the match helped India secure a win, and Gavaskar commended his efforts for repaying the team management’s faith in him.

India faced a challenging start to their chase, with a score of 39-4 while pursuing a target of 189. Nonetheless, Rahul played a calm inning and established key partnerships, including an unbeaten 108-run stand with Ravindra Jadeja, who contributed 45 runs, leading India to victory in just 39.5 overs. The second ODI match is scheduled for Sunday in Visakhapatnam.
