On Sunday, March 26, at M Chinnaswamy in Bangalore, the RCB unbox event gave their supporters a lot to look forward to. At their home pitch, Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis, AB de Villiers, and Chris Gayle all got together for the event. Not only did the team get back together, but they also showed off their new jerseys just five days before the 16th IPL.
On stage, RCB captain Faf du Plessis and opener Virat Kohli were wearing new jerseys that appeared very much like the old ones. But the Golden logo changes the pattern slightly, which helps the jersey look better. The track pants, on the other hand, will be red again.
Chris Gayle and AB de Villiers, two of the best players, signed their jerseys after officially retiring from the IPL. Because of what they did for the squad, both were facilitated by the guard of honor. When questioned if they still planned to play for the team. RCB’s left-handed opener said jokingly, “I’m ready to do it (play for RCB again).” On the other hand, ABD said, “I think the team is perfect right now, and I don’t think we fit in the team right now.”
Kohli remarked, “It’s fantastic to be back here.” Sadly, both of them are leaving. It’s a great honor to have their jerseys forever. These two boys are from different nations, and it’s great to see how much love they’ve gotten here. This is way too much. In the dressing room, we used to call Gayle “Joker.” The stadium was full of people who came every year to witness their best players.
On April 2, Royal Challengers Bangalore will play their opening game of IPL 2023 against the Mumbai Indians, who have won the tournament five times.
