IPL 2023: Royal Challengers Bangalore | Maxwell doubtful for opener, Hazlewood will miss first stage.

Josh Hazlewood, a fast bowler for Royal Challengers Bangalore, will miss the opening matches of the Indian Premier League, which will begin on March 31, 2023, in Ahmedabad.

Hazlewood nevertheless believes he will be able to participate in the T20 competition’s latter rounds.
His Achilles injury prevented him from competing in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in India, and the 32-year-old is currently rehabilitating.

Before determining whether or not to compete in the IPL, Hazlewood would confer with Cricket Australia’s medical team, according to the article.

Another significant development is the all-rounder Glenn Maxwell’s doubtfulness for RCB’s debut match against Mumbai Indians on April 2 in Bengaluru because he has not fully recovered from a leg injury. Maxwell missed Australia’s final two one-day internationals against India earlier this month.

Maxwell, who injured his leg in an accident last November, found the return to ODIs “more taxing than he had expected,” according to Australia national selector George Bailey.
