IPL 2023 Purple Cap, Orange Cap List: RCB Vs MI Top Run Scorers and Wicket Takers

After three days, each of the 10 teams in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 has played one match. Rajasthan Royals, Gujarat Titans, Lucknow Super Giants, Punjab Kings, and Royal Challengers Bangalore have all won once. The other five teams have yet to win.

There are already early candidates for the Orange Cap and Purple Cap titles in the IPL 2023. With 92 runs, the opener for the Chennai Super Kings is on top of the IPL 2023 Orange Cap table. This is the best batter score in IPL 2023 so far. Gaikwad is followed by young Mumbai Indians batsman Tilak Varma, who scored a great unbeaten 84, but was beat by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) opener Virat Kohli, who made 82 not out.

Mark Wood, a fast bowler from England, has the most wickets after getting 5/14 against the Delhi Capitals in the first game, which helped the Lucknow Super Giants win by 50 runs. Yuzvendra Chahal, a leg-spinner for the Rajasthan Royals, closely follows wood. On Sunday, Chahal took 4/17 in his team’s massive win over the Sunrisers Hyderabad. (April 2).

Rajyavardhan Hangargekar, a young bowler for CSK, is third on the Purple Cap list. He took three wickets in the first game against the Gujarat Titans, but that wasn’t enough to help MS Dhoni’s team win.

On Monday night (April 3), Gaikwad, who has the orange cap right now, will play against Mark Wood, who has the purple cap, in IPL 2023 match No. 6. CSK will be hosting the Lucknow Super Giants at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

After Monday night, it will be interesting to see if Gaikwad and Wood can keep their spots at the top of the Orange and Purple Cap lists.
