MS Dhoni is about to set another massive record in the Indian Premier League (IPL 2023). The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain is about to make his 200th appearance as the leader of the Yellow Brigade in the game against Rajasthan Royals (RR) on April 12, 2023, at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
Dhoni has made history by becoming the player with the most caps in the cash-rich IPL. When he plays against RR, he will add another feather to his already-shiny IPL career. He will be the first player in the history of the Indian Premier League to lead a team in 200 games.
Ravindra Jadeja, an experienced all-rounder for CSK, said Dhoni is a legend for CSK and Indian cricket. He also said a win against RR in Dhoni’s 200th match as captain would be the best gift he could get.
“What can I say? He is not only a hero for CSK but also for Indian cricket. I’d like to wish him the best of luck. We hope to win the game tomorrow and give it to him as a present for his 200th game as captain. “Hope to keep up the momentum from the last two games,” Jadeja told the media before their game against the Royals.
The CSK captain has played in 236 IPL games and has been the captain for 213 of them. Dhoni has also led the Rising Pune Supergiants in the cash-rich league and in Chennai. The Indian leader, born in Ranchi, is considered one of the best captains ever, and his 58.96% win rate is right up there with the best. As a leader in the IPL, Dhoni has won 125 games and lost 87.
