Bollywood star Athiya Shetty went to her first Indian Premier League 2023 game this season. On Wednesday, she went to the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur to watch her husband KL Rahul’s Lucknow Super Giants play against the Rajasthan Royals. Rahul and LSG did not let Athiya down, and they shocked the IPL 2022 runners-up Royals to win by 10 runs.
Athiya enjoyed her husband KL Rahul’s 31st birthday in a low-key way a day before the IPL 2023 match. She was happy to see the LSG captain in action as he and Kyle Mayers scored 82 runs for the first wicket. Rahul got 39 runs off of 32 balls. Yuzvendra Chahal, who bowls leg spin for the Rajasthan Royals, gave him a six that went 103 meters.
Off the fifth ball of the ninth over of the game, KL Rahul slog swept Chahal over mid-wicket for a massive six. Athiya Shetty couldn’t stay calm and was seen loudly cheering for her husband as the camera moved across her.
After a strong start by Rahul and Mayers, who hit their third fifty of the IPL 2023, the Royals did well to hold LSG to 154. But LSG kept Sanju Samson’s team to 144 for 6, giving them their fourth win.
