Aakash Chopra says that one of the Gujarat Titans’ (GT) strengths going into their IPL 2023 match against the Rajasthan Royals (RR) is that they have great bowlers, like the powerful Mohammad Shami.
On Friday, May 5, the game will take place at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. The Titans will try to get even after losing by three wickets in the first game of the event at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
In a YouTube video promoting the game, Chopra said that the Gujarat Titans are in a good position to make the playoffs and have a strong bowling lineup. He went on to explain:
“In their last match at home, Gujarat couldn’t get to 130 runs.” Gujarat is still very safe because it still has 12 points and a match to play. “They’re looking really nice.”
The ex-Indian opener also said:
“Rashid Khan, Noor Ahmad, Hardik Pandya, and Mohammad Shami are all on fire for Gujarat, and Mohammad Shami is also on fire.” Then there are Mohit Sharma and Joshua Little. The way they bowl is really good. “The bowling of Gujarat is absolutely amazing.” It’s fun to watch them bowl.
The purple cap is now held by Mohammad Shami, who has 17 wickets. Rashid Khan has gotten rid of 15 batsmen, while Noor Ahmad and Mohit Sharma have each gotten rid of eight batsmen.
Aakash Chopra thinks it was a fluke that the Gujarat Titans couldn’t chase down a below-par goal against the Delhi Capitals, saying:
“In hitting, Wriddhiman Saha and Shubman Gill, followed by Hardik Pandya, Abhinav Manohar, Vijay Shankar, and David Miller. You can also see depth in the way they hit. They got off track somewhere around Delhi. It seems like it was a mistake. “It won’t keep on happening.”
The former cricket player who is now a commentator said that the captain who wins the toss might want to set a goal, because:
“Teams that aren’t at home keep winning. I won’t be surprised if the team that wins the toss chooses to bat first since it’s easier to protect these days. Strangely, teams used to be able to chase easily, but now they can’t chase at all.
So far, the teams that batted first have won both games in Jaipur. The Lucknow Super Giants beat the Rajasthan Royals by 10 runs, and in the last game at the venue, the home team beat the Chennai Super Kings by 32 runs.
