Rohit Sharma and the rest of his team are all excited to play Australia in the final of the World Test Championship (WTC). This summit showdown will start on June 7 at London’s Oval. Before the big match, Rohit’s friends used one word to describe the captain of the Indian cricket team:
In a film posted by the International Cricket Council (ICC), Team India players Cheteshwar Pujara, Mohammed Siraj, Ravichandran Ashwin, Shardul Thakur, and Shubman Gill were asked to describe their leader in one word.
He was called “Hitman” by starter Gill and fast bowler Mohammed Shami, which didn’t surprise us. Ashwin, a legendary off-spin bowler, used the word “class” to describe Rohit, and wicketkeeper-batsman KS Bharat said that Rohit was a “relaxed” person.
Pacer Siraj said that the star Mumbai hitter was a “puller” because he was so good at the pull shot. Unlike his other teammates, Pujara didn’t just use one or two words to describe Rohit. He didn’t just say one word, though. Pujara said, “The guy with the most skill He has done a great job, even as captain. He stays very calm when things get tough.”
Shardul was the last person in the video to talk about Rohit. The all-rounder said that he has known the 36-year-old since he was a child. He called him “banta hain,” which is a common term in Mumbai. Shardul went on to say that Rohit is always happy-go-lucky and is a fun guy.
“In Mumbai language, I will call him ‘banta hain.’ He is always happy, and you would expect him to make a joke or just come up and tap you on the head. He is an amusing person. “I’ve known him since I was a child, and he’s always been the same,” Shardul said.
Rohit will be India’s captain for the first time in an ICC event final. Virat Kohli was the captain of India when they made it to the final of the first WTC.
Rohit will not only be in charge of the team, but he will also have the very important job of starting the game with the young player Shubman Gill. If the pictures of the Oval pitch that went viral before the final are any indication, Rohit will have his work cut out for him if he wants to help India get off to a good start against a strong Australian bowling team led by Pat Cummins.
