After the KKR-PBKS game, Brett Lee praises Rinku Singh.

Brett Lee, a former Australian fast bowler, praised Kolkata Knight Riders opener Rinku Singh on Monday, May 8, after the 25-year-old did another amazing last-ball finish against the Punjab Kings (PBKS).

Rinku hit a boundary on the last ball of the last over, when KKR only needed two runs to reach a difficult goal of 180 and stay in the running for the playoffs.

The left-handed batter hit an important 21* off 10 balls, including two fours and a six. He then teamed up with Andre Russell to score 54 runs off 27 balls, which won the game.

Brett Lee praised Rinku Singh’s exciting style of cricket in an interview.

“He did everything he could to make them fall in love with Rinku Singh.” He is a match-winner and an entertainer, and he wins every time he goes out there. It’s fun to see a young player do something like that. “He’s going to be well-known, and he’s doing a good job with cricket.”

Earlier in the season, Rinku played different hits that helped KKR win two straight games against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and the Gujarat Titans (GT).

When KKR was in trouble against RCB with 47/3, Rinku hit 46 off 33 balls to help them get back on track and finish with 204-7 in their 20 overs.

Then, against GT, he hit a stunning 48 off 21 deliveries, including five sixes off the last five balls. His team needed 29 runs off the last six balls to win the game.

Former India wicketkeeper Parthiv Patel praised Rinku Singh’s hitting and his ability to stay calm under pressure after the young player pulled off another last-ball miracle against the Punjab Kings.

This season, Rinku has been the best batsman for KKR. He has scored 337 runs with an average of 56.17 and a strike rate of 151.12. He has also hit two half-centuries.

Patel said this to Jio Cinema:

“He has a huge amount of work to do.” It’s very important to do well under pressure. It shows what kind of player you are and how you think. “We saw Rinku Singh’s skill when he hit those five sixes in one over, but today was harder.”
