Exciting Developments in ICC Women’s T20I Rankings: Deepti Sharma Skyrockets to Joint Second, Renuka Singh Breaks into Top 10!

In the latest ICC women’s T20I bowling rankings, India’s Deepti Sharma has not only climbed one spot to joint second but has also set the stage ablaze. Team-mate Renuka Singh is making waves too, securing the 10th position in the rankings.

Deepti’s impressive ascent can be credited to the dynamic shifts in rankings, notably with South Africa’s Nonkululeko Mlaba dropping three places, creating a ripple effect. Pakistan’s Sadia Iqbal joined hands with Deepti in the second spot after a notable climb, while England’s Sarah Glenn made her presence felt at fourth.

The top 10 all-rounders’ rankings saw no alterations, with Deepti holding onto the fourth position.

Switching gears to the batters, India’s vice-captain Smriti Mandhana maintained her stronghold at fourth place. Jemimah Rodrigues, Shafali Verma, and Harmanpreet Kaur held steady at 13th, 16th, and 17th positions, respectively.

In a thrilling twist at the top, Australia’s Beth Mooney outshone her compatriot Tahlia McGrath to claim the numero uno spot in the T20I rankings for batters. Mooney’s stellar performance included two half-centuries in 2024, with a standout innings of 72 not out in a Player of the Match display against South Africa in Canberra.

While McGrath secured the second position, Proteas captain Laura Wolvaardt not only held onto the third spot but also achieved a new career-high rating, fueled by her Player of the Match heroics in the second clash of the series. The T20I rankings landscape is buzzing with excitement!
