The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 match between Rajasthan Royals and Punjab Kings on Wednesday kept the crowd at Guwahati’s Barsapara Stadium on the edge of their seats. The Royals lost by five runs in a very exciting match where they needed to score 198 runs to win. RR’s captain, Sanju Samson, was upset that his team lost the hard-fought game because he thought his team was “one hit” away from winning.
On Wednesday, RR tried to reach 198 runs, a challenging goal. In the end, they got to 192 for 7. “We got off to a great start, and we ended the power play in a great way. We thought we would have some boundaries in the middle overs, but they bowled well. “I think the momentum went a little down there,” Samson said at the news conference after the match.

Ravichandran Ashwin joined Yashasvi Jaiswal at the top for RR instead of Jos Buttler when they tried to reach the goal. And Samson told what the move was all about.

Wasim Jaffer, the hitting coach for the Punjab Kings, praised young Prabhsimran Singh, who opened the batting with captain Shikhar Dhawan and scored 60 runs off 34 balls. Jaffer said that Prabhsimran, who had not played much for PBKS in previous IPL seasons, took the chance with both hands.
“He (Prabhsimran) has been a great player, but no matter how good you are, you need a steady run,” said Jaffer. “That way, he can play with a lot less fear.”
