RCB’s Anuj Rawat’s ‘No Look Run-Out’ Of Rajasthan’s R Ashwin Is Like MS Dhoni

In the 60th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 on May 14, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) played Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium. RCB, which won by 112 runs, controlled the match.

RCB won the toss and batted first. They got off to a good start and set a goal of 171/5 in the 20 overs they were given. The best players for the Bangalore-based team were Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell, who scored 55 and 54 runs, respectively. The most successful bowlers for RR were Adam Zampa and KM Asif, each of whom took two wickets.

RR’s reaction wasn’t very good, and their batting was a total disaster. When they lost their openers to ducks, they never got back on track. Even though Shimron Hetmyer led his team with 35 runs off 19 balls, RR was only able to score 59 runs before being bowled out in 10.3 overs. Wayne Parnell and Karn Sharma did most of the damage for RCB with the ball. Each of them took three wickets.

One of the best parts of the game was when Anuj Rawat did a run-out like MS Dhoni, which caught Ravichandran Ashwin by surprise. Hetmyer tried to steal a double, but Rawat caught Mohammed Siraj’s quick throw and flicked it back between his legs into the stumps, catching Ashwin before he reached the wicket. Ashwin was going for a duck since he hadn’t been hit by any balls. Rawat’s run-out made many people think of Dhoni, who was known for being able to do things like this.

With this win, RCB moved up to fifth place in the IPL 2023 points table, while RR fell to sixth place.
