Rinku Singh, who bats for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), said that he is ready to play at the top level soon. The batter has never played for his country, but he was one of the best young players in the just-ended 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL), along with Yashasvi Jaiswal and Tilak Varma.
Rinku scored the most runs for KKR, and with 474 runs, he came ninth in the Orange Cap. As Team India gets ready for the T20 World Cup in 2024, they want to move in a new direction with a younger team. Rinku is a good choice as a finisher for the team.
Even though he says he is ready to play for his country, the southpaw is still concentrating on his routine and process for now.
In a talk with News18, Rinku said:
“I am completely ready to play for India. But I don’t think about it too much now that I play for India. If it’s meant to be, I’ll get it. I’ve never thought I’d hit those five sixes, and I’ve never thought I’d be picked for the Indian team. I just have a daily plan that I stick to. Go to the gym and do more exercises. If it’s meant to be, I’ll play for India.”
He Kept Going.
“When I play for India, I will surely ask my parents to come watch me. My mom and dad have never been to a venue to see me play, not even in the IPL. So, I hope that I can play for India as soon as possible so that my parents can come watch me.
In July, Team India will play its next T20I in the Caribbean, where they will also play other forms. Since the five ODIs and two Tests are more important in the grand scheme of things, the three T20Is could be played by a younger Indian team.
“He’s just like any other person,” Rinku Singh said of Shahrukh Khan.
One of the KKR owners who has a close relationship with the brand is the famous Bollywood star Shahrukh Khan. He has been with the team for the last 16 seasons, through good times and bad. He was also there when KKR beat the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in KKR’s first match at Eden Gardens in four years.
Shahrukh Khan also said nice things about Rinku Singh after he helped win the game against GT. Talking about how close the players are with the well-known character around the world.
