Team India Announces West Indies Tour Schedule, Trinidad To Host 100th Test Between Two Sides

After losing to Australia in the World Test Championship (WTC) Final on Sunday, the Indian cricket team will take a break for almost a month before going on a month-long tour of the West Indies for Tests, ODIs, and T20I matches. The Cricket West Indies (CWI) announced on Monday that India will be visiting the Caribbean from July 12 to August 13. The tour will include two Tests, three ODIs, and five T20Is.

India’s last all-format tour of the West Indies was in 2019, when they won the series in all three formats. Last year, they also went on a trip where they only played with white balls. They won both of those games as well.

The 2023–2025 ICC World Test Championship (WTC) series will begin with the first two Tests of India’s tour of the West Indies. The first test will take place at Windsor Park in Dominica from July 12 to 16. The second Test will take place at Queen’s Park Oval in Trinidad from July 20 to 24. India and the West Indies will play their 100th Test match during the second Test.

“We are very happy to be able to announce the dates and times for India’s long-awaited visit. One of the highlights will be the 100th Test at the Queen’s Park Oval. “This historic event between two proud cricketing nations will be celebrated in a great way,” said Johnny Grave, CEO of CWI.

After the Test Series, there will be a three-game ODI Series. The first two games will be played on July 27 and 29 at Kensington Oval in Barbados. The third ODI will be played on August 1 at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad. It will be the first ODI with the West Indies at the venue.

The first T20I will be on August 3 at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy. The second and third T20Is will be on August 6 and 8 at the Guyana National Stadium. The series will end on August 12 and 13 at Broward County Cricket Stadium in Lauderhill, Florida, USA. The fourth and fifth T20Is will be played there.

“We’re also excited to play India in white ball matches and welcome fans from all over the area and the United States to watch the games. Cricket fans will have 18 days of fun to look forward to and enjoy,” said Grave.
