A veteran of Bangladeshi batting, a youthful compatriot of hers bowling style, and a Pakistani left-arm spinner have been selected for the ICC Women’s Player of the Month Award for November 2023.
Nahida Akter (Bangladesh)
A youthful spin bowling prodigy from Bangladesh performed admirably in their historic Twenty20 International series victory over Pakistan in October, and then carried on that form in a 2-1 ODI series triumph against the same opponents in November.
In support of the triumph, she contributed seven wickets at an average of 14.14, an achievement that earned her the Player of the Series honors.
Bangladesh was dismissed for 81 runs in the opening match, but the sluggish left-arm spinner maintained his composure. Pakistan advanced by five wickets in spite of her 3/30.
She completed the second ODI with a score of 1/43 and broke a crucial partnership between Najiha Alvi and Diana Baig. In the end, Bangladesh managed to restore parity, and Nahida was appointed to bowl the Super Over. The 23-year-old wicket-taker conceded only seven runs and collected two balls. Bangladesh ultimately prevailed in the match.
Her selection of 3/26 in the championship match assisted in limiting Pakistan to 166/9. The Bangladeshi batsmen ultimately amassed this sum in the 47th over.
Fargana Hoque (Bangladesh)
The 30-year-old top-order batsman scored the most runs for Bangladesh in the most recent One-Day International series against Pakistan. She concluded the match with 110 runs scored at a mean of 36.66, including a peak of 62.

Sadia Iqbal (Pakistan)
Left-arm spinner of 28 years of age, he was a notable contributor to Pakistan’s triumphant tour of Bangladesh. She was their bowling maestro, accumulating six wickets at a rate of 12.5 per over. 2.58 was her miserly economy rate as a bowler.
The first day of the ODI series commenced with her achieving a career-high 4/13. Iqbal, in conjunction with Nida Dar, dismissed the Bangladeshi batting for 81 runs. The target was effortlessly pursued down.
In the second match, she took two wickets and allowed only 32 runs in her allotted overs. She was wicketless in the final ODI, conceding only 30 runs off 10 overs.
