Glenn Maxwell’s ‘Serious’ Take on Virat Kohli’s ‘Unnecessary’ Comparison

Glenn Maxwell and Virat Kohli have a strong bond as teammates with Royal Challengers Bangalore.
On and off the field, India’s standout batter Virat Kohli and explosive Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell have a friendly relationship. Maxwell joined Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) ahead of the IPL 2021 season, and the two have shared some good on-field combinations for their franchise. Maxwell said in a recent interview that he was once likened to Kohli, which he considers to be one of the highest compliments he has ever received. RCB posted the video to their official Twitter account.

“I was once compared to Virat Kohli, which was a huge compliment.” It was entirely unneeded and untrue, but I had a couple of good runs and got compared to Virat, which was fairly great,” Maxwell said.

During the same interaction, Maxwell disclosed his most bizarre fan interaction.

“Anytime you pass through an airport in India, it’s pretty crazy.” “There were people chasing me and Faf (Faf du Plessis) down the road and banging on the windows yesterday, which was interesting,” he continued.

RCB’s big three — Kohli, du Plessis, and Maxwell — all achieved half-centuries against Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL 2023.

However, Nicholas Pooran hit the quickest fifty of the IPL season in 15 balls to lead LSG to a surprising 213-run victory.

Pooran hit 62 off 19 balls, while Marcus Stoinis clobbered a 30-ball 65 as Lucknow won by one wicket in the final over.

The Royal Challengers Bangalore will now play the Delhi Capitals on Saturday, April 15.
