LYCA KOVAI KINGS BOWLERS SUCCESS BA11SY TRICHY WITH A 6-WICKET WIN.

Lyca Kovai Kings beat Ba11sy Trichy by six wickets in the second match of a doubleheader on Wednesday at the NPR College of Engineering and Technology Cricket Ground in Natham, Dindigul.

Lyca Kovai Kings chose to field first and had things under control right away. The pitch felt slower than in the previous game, and the batters struggled to time the ball. M. Siddharth made appropriate advantage of the circumstances. In his first over, he dismissed Akshay V. Srinivasan. In his second delivery, he rattled Mani K. Bharathy and Darryl S. Ferrario in quick succession.

Jafar Jamal, who had previously opened the inning for Ba11sy Trichy, batted fourth. M. Siddharth had a great run with the ball, while Ganga Sridhar Raju was at the non-strikers’ end. He had to wait for his chance to score runs. The seasoned opener contributed a crucial 25 (15) collaboration with Jafar Jamal. The latter scored 11 (9).

Ganga Sridhar Raju kept the scoreboard ticking while wickets fell at the other end. He hit the half-century mark in 50 deliveries. After making 58 runs, the opener was out to Shahrukh Khan.

R Rajkumar hit three boundaries and two sixes for 31*, leading Ba11sy Trichy to 117/6 in 20 overs.

Today’s bowlers for the Lyca Kovai Kings did an excellent job. As a result, Ba11sy Trichy delivered 70 dots. With 3/13, M. Siddharth was the bowler to beat. V. Yudheeswaran, on the other side, was highly economical yet unlucky to be dismissed without a wicket. He finished his four overs with a score of 0/8. Shahrukh Khan bowled three overs for two wickets.

The Lyca Kovai Kings began the inning slowly but steadily, chasing 118 to win. Ragupathy Silambarasan led off the second inning with a single.

The openers for Lyca Kovai Kings added 31 runs for the first wicket. B. Sai Sudharsan joined S. Sujay after J. Suresh Kumar left for 9. The youngster has been in great shape and currently has the Ather Orange Cap. He couldn’t do much in today’s game, though. The left-handed batter was struck out for seven runs by Daryl S. Ferrario.

Ram Arvindh was dismissed by Daryl S. Ferrario in the ninth over. His spell made the defending champion’s life difficult. Despite being unable to locate boundaries, Lyca Kovai Kings kept the dot ball percentage low in comparison to Ba11sy Trichy. With seven wickets in hand at the end of the tenth over, the side required 59 runs.

S Sujay paced his inning based on the situation. The opener continued going despite not getting enough support from the other end, reaching his half-century in 47 deliveries. Later, he contributed to the team reaching 100 in the 17th over.

With only 18 runs needed to win, S Sujay unleashed himself in the 18th over, hitting fours, sixes, and fours in successive deliveries. Atheeq Ur Rahman, an impact player for Lyca Kovai Kings, concluded the innings with a boundary to give Lyca Kovai Kings a six-wicket victory.

Lyca Kovai Kings remain in second place with three victories and one loss from four games. Ba11sy Trichy is in seventh place and is still looking for their first victory.

S. Sujay stated after collecting the Player of the Match award, “I played my game without any pressure.” I was aware that our squad included attacking batters such as Sai Sudharsan and Shahrukh Khan. So I don’t have to be concerned. Furthermore, the sum was insufficient.

After the defeat, Ba11sy Trichy captain Ganga Sridhar Raju stated, “We tried very hard not to lose wickets in the powerplay, but we couldn’t.” We’re finding it difficult to achieve huge scores since we’re losing 2-3 wickets in the powerplay. We will try to correct our faults and win the next game.

Following the victory, Shahrukh Khan, captain of the Lyca Kovai Kings, stated, “We are trying to execute our plans without any pressure.” Our crew has a good understanding, which helps in a variety of ways. In the upcoming games, I’ll aim to bat up the order.

The 13th match of the Shriram Capital Tamil Nadu Premier League will pit Nellai Royal Kings against Salem Spartans. Nellai Royal Kings won their first two games before falling to the iDream Tiruppur Tamizhans in their last game. Salem Spartans were defeated by Ba11sy Trichy in their previous game after losing their first match to Chepauk Super Gillies.
