Mark Wood completes the game by claiming a five-for with two more scalps in his last over. Wow, it really stood out. Today he really shook up DC and ended with a 5/14 record. By a score of 50 runs, LSG comes out on top. When QDK comes back for the following game, they will have a tough time deciding who to start. If DC wants to mount a comeback, they need their hitters to step up in their upcoming matchup.

Nonetheless, they needed 119 runs to win off the remaining ten overs, which meant they needed to score roughly 12 runs each over.

It started with Kuldeep making Hooda hole out with the flight, and then the wicket of Mayers followed, with Axar Patel turning one about a meter to knock over the West Indian. It had to be something ridiculous to get Mayers out, and then the run-rate slowed, the pressure built up and Stoinis nicked one through to the keeper off Khaleel, triggering wild celebrations — remember, Khaleel needed a redemption after dropping a sitter, that cost his team 50 runs! 38-3 in this phase, which clearly belonged to the Delhi Capitals!

Mayers has taken a liking to Axar Patel, hammering him for 30 in overs! Khaleel must be rueing that drop now!

Delhi Capitals’ all-Indian pace trio, perhaps not even their first choice after Nortje, Ngidi and Mustafizur arrive, have kept LSG at bay, stifling Mayers and Rahul in the powerplay, keeping them to 30-1.
