MS Dhoni is set to be admitted to the hospital just days after CSK won the IPL 2023 title.

MS Dhoni is set to be admitted to the hospital just days after CSK won the IPL 2023 title.

MS Dhoni, the captain of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), is going to be taken to Kolkilaben Hospital in Mumbai. This is just a few days after the CSK won their fifth IPL title on Monday night, which tied the record. In the IPL 2023 final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, CSK beat the defending winner Gujarat Titans (GT) by five wickets.

Dhoni has played with a hurt knee for the whole IPL 2023 season. Several news sources say that Dhoni will be taken to the Kokilaben hospital in Mumbai this week for a number of tests on his injured knee.

Stephen Fleming, the head coach of CSK, said earlier in the IPL 2023 season that Dhoni was playing in the T20 league even though he had hurt his knee. Fleming told reporters after the match against the Rajasthan Royals last month, “He (Dhoni) is nursing a knee injury, which you can see in some of his movements and is slowing him down a bit.”

“But still, what you saw (against RR) is that we have a great player. He has always been very professional about his health.

After CSK’s last league match of the season at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, Dhoni did a “lap of honor” with an ice pack on his knee. After Chennai Super Kings (CSK) beat Delhi Capitals (DC) in the Indian Premier League (IPL 2023), former India cricketer Irfan Pathan posted a cute picture with CSK captain MS Dhoni. In that shot, too, Dhoni’s hurt knee is covered by the same ice pack.

After the game, Irfan went into the CSK locker room and met Dhoni. The ‘best friends’ hugged each other and smiled for the cameras. Later, Irfan shared the picture with their fans and wrote in the caption, “Jaha se chorte hai wahi se fir se shuru hoti hai Hamari dosti. We have never met and never talked about the good old days. Every time we see each other, we remember some funny times.

After CSK won the IPL 2023 championship, Dhoni said that he would like to stay with the team for the 2024 season as well. “If you look at the facts, now is the best time to say you’re retiring. “It’s easy for me to say thank you and quit,” Dhoni said at the presentation after the game.

“But the hardest thing to do is to work hard for nine months and try to play in one more IPL season. The body needs to stay in place. But CSK fans have shown me so much love that it would be a gift for them to play another season. “Because of how much they’ve loved and cared for me, it’s something I have to do for them,” he said.
