IPL 2023: Will MS Dhoni Retire? Rohit Sharma Provides a significant answer

When asked about MS Dhoni’s potential future after the IPL 2023

Rohit Sharma did not mince words. There have been rumors about MS Dhoni’s potential departure from the Indian Premier League (IPL) for a while now. While Dhoni is busy preparing for IPL 2023 with Chennai Super Kings, a number of analysts have already stated that he won’t be taking part in the league after this year. In a recent conversation, Rohit Sharma, the captain of the Mumbai Indians, offered his opinion on the subject, saying that Dhoni appears healthy enough to compete in the IPL for the next two to three seasons.

“I’ve heard for the past two to three years that MS Dhoni will retire after this season. During the MI preseason news conference, Rohit stated, “I believe he is healthy enough to play a few more seasons.

Dhoni has perfected the role of a finisher, and nobody compares to the former India skipper, according to Rajasthan Royals’ Riyan Parag.

The Guwahati-born player, 21, who will compete in his fifth IPL season this year, added that while he is content playing the finisher position, he would prefer to bowl at position No. 4 in the competition.

“I would choose No. 4 if the Royals asked me where I wanted to play. But as always, I’m willing to play wherever the team requires me and thinks I’ll fit in best. It’s a team effort, so I’m happy to contribute in any manner the combinations work out, Parag told PTI.

For the past three years, I have been performing the finishing job. There is only one name that springs to mind, MS Dhoni, which I have already mentioned. Nobody else, in my opinion, has perfected that skill. I always look up to him when I step into that position because of how he ends games or deepens them.
