Rohit Sharma Returns, Behrendorff Replaces Jansen. MI’s Playing 11 Against SRH.

MI’s Predicted Playing 11 Against SRH.

In the IPL 2023, the Mumbai Indians (MI) will play the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on April 18 at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. The team led by Rohit Sharma will try to keep up its good form and win for the third time in a row this season. MI is currently in eighth place on the points table, having won two games and lost two.

MI’s first two games were losses to RCB and CSK, but they have since won against DC and KKR. In match 22 of the IPL 2023 at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium, the Mumbai Indians beat the Kolkata Knight Riders for their second straight win.

Ishan Kishan’s quick 58 (25), and Suryakumar Yadav’s 43 (25), helped MI beat KKR by five wickets with 14 balls to spare. This was after MI’s bowlers had come back strongly in the second half of the first innings to limit KKR to 185/6 after Venkatesh Iyer’s fantastic first century (104 off 51).

Kishan and Sky both got back to their best against KKR and will now try to beat the bowlers of other teams in their next games. With 177 runs and a strike rate of 150, Tilak Varma has scored the most runs for the team.

Rohit Sharma was sick with a stomach bug, so SKY was in charge of MI for the first time. The hitman did come on as an impact player in the second game. He scored 20 runs before Suyash Sharma got rid of him.

Rohit should be back in the starting XI against SRH if he is fully healthy.

Jofra Archer has only played one game for MI this season, the first against RCB. Head coach Mark Boucher said before the game against KKR that Archer would miss a few more games while he heals from a minor injury.

Riley Meredith, who was brought in to replace Jhye Richardson after he got hurt, will likely stay in the starting lineup while Archer is out.

Duan Jansen debuted in the IPL and for MI when he relieved Jason Behrendorff in the playing XI. In his four overs, he gave up more than 50 runs, though. Behrendorff could start the next game against SRH instead of him. So far this season, Meredith and Behrendorff have taken 7 wickets between them.

Spinners Piyush Chawla and Hrithik Shokeen have taken 8 wickets between them in the four games.

Arjun Tendulkar debuted in the IPL at the Wankhede Stadium, where he set a record. Sachin Tendulkar’s son is playing for MI, the same team his father played for six years, from 2008 to 2013. They were the first father-and-son team to play together in the IPL.
