Shubman Gill continues his dream run at Home Stadium

The heart is where the home is! Inquire of Shubman Gill. The young Titan hit his second Test century against Australia in the fourth match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Shubman held the fort for his team from the start, combining the typical grace with a lot of solidity as India faced a big total. This is a special knock for the Titans FAM because he continues to create great moments at our home, the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Last year, during the Tata Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 final, Shubman displayed remarkable poise in front of a record crowd as Gujarat Titans sought to make history. He kept us in the game, and the winning six was the icing on the cake. The image of Shubman roaring after the winning hit, with the crowd rising in the background, is etched in the minds of Titans fans everywhere!

Shubman then returned to the Home Stadium earlier this month and scored his maiden T20 International century, which is also the highest score for an Indian in the format. His usual elegance was combined with an aggressive intent in that inning. It demonstrated his development as a batter across all formats of the game, having scored centuries in Tests and One-Day Internationals (ODIs) in the months preceding it.

Shubman has helped India lay the groundwork for a victory in the fourth Test at Ahmedabad. This is his first Test century in India, as well as his first against Australia. Back in 2021, he had played a key role in the famous Gabba victory, narrowly missing out on a century. However, he has now scored a century against one of India’s main rivals on the big stage.
