After being kicked out of Afghanistan’s ODI team, Naveen-Ul-Haq said, “I messed with the wrong person.”

Afghanistan’s cricket team is getting ready for the ODI World Cup, which will be held later this year. To get ready, they will play Sri Lanka in a three-match ODI series next month. The Afghanistan cricket team will be led by Hashmatullah Shahidi, and the managers have chosen 15 players and 4 reserves for the upcoming bilateral series against Sri Lanka. Fast bowler Naveen-ul-Haq was dropped from the Afghanistan ODI team, which was a big surprise. When this news came out, social media went crazy.

The three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) that start on June 2 will be played at Hambantota. Abdul Rahman, a young all-rounder, has been called up to the team because of how well he played in Afghanistan’s One Day Cup. The backups for the series are Shahidullah Kamal, Yamin Ahmadzai, Zia Ur Rehman Akbar, and Gulbadin Naib.

After Naveen was dropped, social media couldn’t help but mock him for picking a confrontation with Virat Kohli. One fan even stated that Naveen made a huge mistake by going up against the biggest crowd in the world, by which he meant Kohli’s fanbase.

Afghanistan Squad: Hashmatullah Shahidi (c), Rahmat Shah (vc), Rahmanullah Gurbaz (wk), Ibrahim Zadran, Riaz Hassan, Najibullah Zadran, Mohammad Nabi, Ikram Alikhail (wk), Azmatullah Omarzai, Rashid Khan, Mujib ur Rahman, Noor Ahmad, Abdul Rahman, Farid Ahmad Malik.

What happened between Naveen and Kohli?

During the game, Naveen and Kohli had a spat after the LSG pacer and Mohammed Siraj exchanged harsh words. Later, Naveen refused to shake Kohli’s hand, which irritated the former RCB captain. Gautam Gambhir decided to interfere when he saw Kohli continue going after Naveen, only to lose his calm himself.
