Pacer Naveen-ul-Haq of the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) shared some angry Instagram Stories, and fans think they were aimed at Virat Kohli and his team, the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), after they lost to the Mumbai Indians (MI) on Tuesday night. During the IPL 2023 game, Naveen put up two Instagram stories that seemed to be subtle jabs at Kohli. He posted a picture of himself eating “sweet mangoes” and watching the game from his hotel room. After Kohli got out, the first picture was put up. It quickly spread all over the internet, making a big fuss on social media. But Naveen didn’t stop there. He shared another story that made it even clearer that he was making fun of Kohli and RCB.
He put up a picture of mangoes and a live match on his TV on Instagram with the caption, “Round 2 with these.” Thanks to @dhaval_parab bhai, I just ate one of the best mangoes I’ve ever had.
Gambhir responded to Kohli’s wicket vs MI:
Not to mention, LSG coach Gautam Gambhir, who had a fight with Kohli during that controversial match, shared an Instagram story after Kohli’s wicket fell. He said that Jason Behrendorff did a great job bowling with the picture of him watching Kohli get sent off. It should be noted that Gambhir and Naveen seemed to be paying back Kohli, who had shared similar Instagram stories when LSG lost to the Gujarat Titans the day before.
It doesn’t look like Kohli and Gambhir/Naveen will stop fighting on social media any time soon. Most of the time, cricket players leave their wickets on the ground and move on. After the fight between Kohli and Gambhir/Naveen ten days ago at the end of the LSG vs. RCB game, that doesn’t seem to be happening.
Everyone had a response to the fight between the Indian players on the field, from Ravi Shastri to Sunil Gavaskar and Virender Sehwag. Shastri told Kohli and Gambhir to get together and make up, while Gavaskar and Sehwag said that players who fight like this on the field should be fined.
RCB loses more ground in the points table.
MI beat RCB by six wickets, and now RCB is in seventh place in the IPL 2023 Points Table. They’ve won five of the 11 games they’ve played, and now it’s important for them to win all three games here if they want to make the playoffs. With their sixth win in 11 games, Mumbai has moved up to third place.
