CSK Captain MS Dhoni Opens Up On Retirement

CSK Captain MS. Dhoni Open Up On His Retirement, IPL 2023.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni has played in the Indian Premier League (IPL) since its first season in 2008. He is the name, the captain, and the leader of his team. He is very close to retiring from the money-making league. MSD gave up international cricket in 2020, which broke the hearts of millions of fans worldwide. The 41-year-old is back in charge of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for the 2023 IPL season, considered MS Dhoni’s last year in the tournament.

When asked about leaving the Indian Premier League at a recent event, Dhoni laughed and said, “I don’t want to put pressure on the coach and the team by saying anything now.”

“There’s a lot of time to answer that call (of retirement). “Right now, we have a lot of games, and if I say something, the coach will be put under pressure,” he said.

Even though he is 41 years old, Dhoni has kept himself in pretty good shape. Shane Watson, who played cricket for Australia, thinks Dhoni is healthy enough to play for the Chennai Super Kings for the next 3 or 4 years if he wants to. MS Dhoni doesn’t seem to be slowing down, especially since he hit the fastest bowler in the world right now, Mark Wood, for two sixes in two balls in the last match between CSK and LSG.

In the first game of the IPL 2023 season, CSK lost to the Gujarat Titans. This was a poor start for them. But they won three games in a row against the Lucknow Super Giants, Mumbai Indians, and Rajasthan Royals to get back on track. Monday at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, the Chennai Super Kings will play the Royal Challengers Bangalore.
