Due to Civic Election, the LSG vs CSK match has been rescheduled from May 4 to May 3

Match 45 between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) was planned for Thursday, 4 May 2023, according to the IPL 2023 Schedule. However, due to the Lucknow Municipal Corporation election, the LSK vs CSK Match 45 will be played on Wednesday, May 3 instead of Thursday, May 4.

Thursday doubleheader matches were scheduled for 20 April and 4 May in the IPL 2023. Due to local elections in the North Indian city of Lucknow, only one doubleheader out of two will be played on Thursday, 20 April 2023.

According to Sportstar, “Due to municipal elections in the city, the game will now be played on May 3,” Arun Singh Dhumal, Chairman of the IPL Governing Council Confirmed

Members of the local organizing committee and franchise sources indicated that the decision to move the game’s start time forward by a day was taken with concerns with security deployment in mind.

According to the original schedule, the LSG vs CSK game was meant to take place at the Ekana Stadium on 4 May at 3.30 p.m., but despite the postponement, the time of the game would not change even though the day had changed.

On Wednesday, May 3, 2023, there will be a doubleheader. At the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow, the Lucknow Super Giants will face the Chennai Super Kings. In addition, the Punjab Kings (PBKS) will face the Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali.

LSG currently sits third in the IPL 2023 Points Table with 10 points after winning 5 and losing 4 of their 9 matches. CSK, on the other side, is ranked fourth. They likewise won 5 and lost 4 of their 9 matches.
