The 2023 season of the Indian Premier League is coming to a close, and the race to make the playoffs is getting tougher every day. All ten teams are still in the fight for the playoffs, but none of them have made it yet. The defending champion Gujarat Titans have the best chance of making it to the final four teams in the IPL 2023 points table. However, the Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad, who are currently last in the standings and have only won three of their nine games so far, are also still in the running.
But for every team, every game will be very important. Even one loss can make it impossible for the team to make the playoffs. Harbhajan Singh, a former Indian spinner who played for teams like the Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings, and Kolkata Knight Riders, has named four teams that he thinks are most likely to make the playoffs as the race gets closer and closer.
The great bowler says that the teams that will make it to the semifinals are the Gujarat Titans, MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings, the five-time winner Mumbai Indians, and the Royal Challengers Bangalore. Surprisingly, he didn’t include LSG or Sanju Samson’s Rajasthan Royals, both of which made it to the final last year. LSG is now No. 2 in the IPL 2023 points table. Last season, they made it to the playoffs but lost to RCB in the quarterfinal match.

The IPL team with the most titles, MI, didn’t make the playoffs the last two years, but they have a chance to do so this time. After nine wins, Rohit Sharma’s team has 10 points.
