What’s New In GT This IPL 2023:
Williamson, Odean Smith, and Little are the three new players outside the country. This group has replaced Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Dominic Drakes, and Lockie Ferguson. Wicketkeeper KS Bharat and fast bowler Shivam Mavi have also joined the team and could play at some point during the season. Well, Hardik Pandya is a better captain now, and Shubman Gill is in great shape for the IPL.

The current Titans team looks better than the team that won the championship last year. Hardik Pandya has learned much as captain and now has the inswinger to add to his bowling skills. Shubman Gill will feel surer of himself now that he has recently done well internationally.
Their top seven have a good mix of right-handed and left-handed batters, especially if Wade is in the first XI. Hardik and a few bowling all-rounders make sure they bat for a long time.
Playing at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, with 100,000 fans cheering for them, will be an advantage. Titans can also select pitches at the venue. Because they have a squad and bowling attack for all surfaces, they can choose a pitch based on the opposition’s strengths and weaknesses.
Titans prepared for the tournament with three pre-season camps under head coach Ashish Nehra. Second-season syndrome is avoidable.
The Not So Good Facts:
Aside from Williamson, only a few of their other overseas players have played on the international stage. Even Williamson isn’t good at T20 cricket by nature. Aside from that, they have most things taken care of. If India had had another proven batsman, their first XI might have been even better. That player could have been No. 3, and Wade could have taken Saha’s place at the top.
GT Schedule Insights:
The Titans are one of three teams, along with the Delhi Capitals and the Sunrisers Hyderabad, that play every other game at home and away. This means they will have to travel after every game and do a better job balancing the work they do on the field and the road.
