In the Qualifier 1 match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, the reigning champion Gujarat Titans will play against the four-time champion Chennai Super Kings. The match will take place on Tuesday at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Hardik Pandya, the leader of GT, will face MS Dhoni again. Dhoni is his friend and mentor, and Pandya hopes to keep winning against CSK.
Before the IPL 2023 Qualifier 1, Pandya talked about his relationship with MS Dhoni. “Many people think Mahi is all serious and stuff. Hardik Pandya said in a video shared by the Gujarat Titans, “I joke around with him, and I don’t see him as Mahendra Singh Dhoni.”
The GT captain said that his “dear friend and brother,” MS Dhoni, had taught him a lot. “Of course, I’ve learned a lot from him. I’ve learned a lot of good things from him just by watching him and not even hearing him talk much. “But to me, he’s just a good friend and brother with whom I play jokes and hang out,” Pandya said.
“I will always be a Mahendra Singh Dhoni fan, and for so many fans and cricket fans out there, you have to be a real devil to hate Mahendra Singh Dhoni,” he said.
Also, CSK all-rounder Moeen Ali explained what makes MS Dhoni different from the other IPL leaders.
Moeen said in a video shared by CSK that what makes MS different as captain is that if a player has a couple of bad games, especially in the first couple of games, I think every other team would drop the player or say, “Look, you’re probably not good enough right now.”
“And that’s where MS and trainers see different things in players. They see what they could become and give them chances. Not many teams do that. “Most teams don’t keep their players for very long,” he said.
