Abhishek Nayar, the assistant coach for the Kolkata Knight Riders, praised batter Rinku Singh after Singh hit a fifty in a very important game against the Chennai Super Kings.
Rinku scored 54 runs in 43 balls, and he and KKR captain Nitish Rana put up 99 runs together as KKR chased a small goal of 145 runs to keep their playoff hopes alive.
“Rinku Singh has always been an excellent spin player. “If you look back at his first-class season and domestic cricket in general, Rinku Singh is one of three or four people who have done well over the past two or three years,” Nayar said at the news conference after the game.
Nayar was pleased by how well he played on a slow Chepauk pitch, and he said that his success was due to practice in domestic cricket.
“He has always been someone who has done that for UP when playing local cricket. He knows how to play in these circumstances. The pitch for domestic cricket is one of the toughest. “He has been through a lot, so I am so glad to see him do so well,” said Nayar.
The assistant coach also thinks that the Southpaw will do well and do great things in the future because he is a great player for all types of baseball.
“I think it’s just the tip of the iceberg in terms of what he’s going to achieve going forward because he is a level-headed, hard-working cricketer who wants to evolve as a cricketer, and he is the ideal package to have in any format in any team,” Nayar continued.
Notably, Rinku has scored 407 runs in 13 matches this season with an average of 50.88 and a strike rate of 143.31. His most famous effort came earlier in the season against the defending champions Gujarat Titans, when he blasted five straight sixes off the final five balls of the game to assist his club win a thriller.
