MS DHONI’S ARGUMENT WITH THE UMPIRES DURING THE GT-CSK IPL 2023 QUALIFIER 1 DELAYED THE GAME.

MS Dhoni is one of the coolest people on a cricket field, and it’s not often that you see him lose his cool. During the 16th over of Qualifier 1 at Chepauk, Dhoni was seen arguing with the referees, which stopped play for five minutes. We didn’t know what happened, but now we know that Dhoni was angry because the umpires wouldn’t let Matheesha Pathirana bowl his second over because the Sri Lankan fast bowler hadn’t been on the field for the required amount of time after a break to be able to bowl again.

The CSK pacer took a nine-minute break after his first over, but he didn’t have to stay on the field for that long before he was allowed to bowl again.

Sunil Gavaskar and Simon Doull, who were broadcasting the game, didn’t like the break in the middle.

“He didn’t need to have that 5-minute fight with the judges. He did nothing but hold up the game instead of letting someone else play. “At the end of the game, he might come to regret that,” Simon Doull said on air.

Earlier, Ruturaj Gaikwad’s half-century (60 runs in 44 balls) and Devon Conway’s 40 runs in 34 balls helped Chennai Super Kings (CSK) beat GT with a score of 172/7. CSK was able to stop the Titans and win the game by 15 runs, making them the first IPL 2023 winner.

“The IPL is too big to say that this is just another final. It used to be eight top teams, but now there are 10. I won’t just say that it’s another final. It takes two months of hard work. Everyone has done something. Yes, the middle order hasn’t had enough chances. GT is a great team that has done a great job chasing, so the plan was to let them in. “But it was a good coin toss to lose,” Dhoni said after the game.
