MI’s Death Bowling Will Be Highlighted In Their Encounter Against GT.

Mumbai Indians’ death bowling will be highlighted in their encounter against Gujarat Titans.

When they play the reigning champion Gujarat Titans on Tuesday in the IPL 2023, the Mumbai Indians will try to improve their death bowling. In their last game against the Punjab Kings, the Mumbai Indians lost for the first time in three games because their bowlers gave up 96 runs in the last five overs.

After losing two games in a row, MI won three. However, the Punjab Kings won by 13 runs on Saturday to end MI’s good run.

Mumbai’s death over bowling let them down because it let PBKS score 214 for 8. They will have to fix their bowling before the GT match.

All four fast bowlers, Arjun Tendulkar, Jason Behrendorff, Cameron Green, and Jofra Archer, gave up more than 40 runs in their given overs.

On the other hand, the experienced Piyush Chawla and his spin-bowling partner Hrithik Shokeen have been right on the money because they have stopped runs from coming in, and Chawla has also taken two wickets.

The top and middle of MI’s hitting order have been scoring runs, making them look strong.

Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan have usually given the team a good start, and Suryakumar Yadav’s return to form is a big plus for MI. Cameron Green and Tim David have also done an excellent job for the team.

Green and Suryakumar almost won the game against the Punjab Kings with a stand of 75 runs over 36 balls, but Arshdeep Singh’s magic overs at the end of the game did them in.

The MI hitters won’t have it more accessible because the Titans also have a strong bowling attack.

This season, GT has been criticized for being unable to protect totals. In their last match, however, they showed how to do it by stopping Lucknow Super Giants’ run chase in the final overs.

Mohit Sharma, who was making a comeback, was the best bowler for GT. He won the Player of the Match award after using his different styles to beat the Lucknow team.

LSG did well at 105 for 1 after 14 overs, while GT was trying to get 136. The bowlers, led by Mohit, stopped them by stopping 12 runs in the last over.

Mohit has been a big surprise, but Mohammed Shami, who has been playing for a long time, has also taken wickets. But Hardik Pandya, the captain, has yet to do much with the ball. He has only taken one door so far.

Rashid Khan is in charge of Gujarat’s spin department, which looks strong, with Noor Ahmad and Jayant Thakur performing against LSG when they were put under pressure.

The other day, Jayant only gave up seven runs in his last two overs, and Noor only gave up five runs in his previous two overs while taking two wickets. This helped GT win.

GT hitters have chased down totals, but sometimes they haven’t been able to score more runs in the middle overs.

Even though Wriddhiman Saha and Shubman Gill scored runs at the top and Hardik scored the most in their last game, GT fell short by about 10-15 runs against LSG, mainly because they batted slowly in the middle overs. This is something the team will need to fix.

Also, GT might need to move their best hitter from outside the country, David Miller, up the order to give him more time in the middle.
