Pandya’s scan report has been sent to an expert in Mumbai.

The Indian squad will have to wait at least one more day to learn the full extent of Hardik Pandya’s injury. The all-rounder twisted his left ankle and could only bowl three deliveries in Bangladesh’s innings on Thursday (October 19) in Pune.

The injury occurred during the ninth over of the match, and Hardik’s maiden over, when he attempted to stop the ball on the follow-through with his leg. He hobbled off the field with the support personnel, and Virat Kohli eventually finished the over.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) reported that Pandya underwent a scan, the results of which are now pending. We hear that the scan data have been sent to a specialist in Mumbai, and that further action would be taken based on the doctor’s assessment.

Pandya was returned to the ground after getting scans. It is believed that he would have batted if required, but it was not necessary as India easily chased down Bangladesh’s 257-run goal, winning by seven wickets.

“He pulled up a little sore, nothing really major to worry about,” Rohit Sharma said of the incident. We’ll see how he feels in the morning and then decide how to proceed.”

Despite the captain’s assurances, sources close to the team believe he could be rested for the next encounter against New Zealand on October 22 in Dharamsala.

According to reports, Pandya is in a lot of pain with his ankle. After twisting his ankle, the agony was so great that he was unable to complete the over in Bangladesh’s innings.

Following the game, when asked about Pandya’s condition, KL Rahul revealed that he had no information about his teammate’s injury situation. “I just saw him in the locker room. “The medical team should have some updates, maybe tonight or tomorrow,” Rahul said after the game.
