Rohit Sharma Faces Jofra Archer For the First Time In Practice Before RCB vs. MI IPL 2023 Clash

Jofra Archer Troubles Rohit Sharma during MI Training Session.

On Sunday, April 2, 2023, at MA Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, the first match of IPL 2023 between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will take place. Fans of MI will have to wait two more days to watch their favorite stars play. But before this big match between two of the league’s best teams, MI’s social media team kept fans interested with some great material. On Friday (March 31), MI posted a film in which Jofra Archer bowls to Rohit, the captain, during practice on the center pitch.

MI bought Archer at the IPL 2022 Mega Auction for Rs 8 crore, but he was hurt and couldn’t play in the 15th season of the T20 league. He started playing professional cricket for MI Cape Town in the SA 20 League. Rohit will hope that Archer does well in IPL 2023 because Jasprit Bumrah won’t be there.

In his international tenure, Archer has participated in 13 Tests, 21 ODIs, and 15 T20Is, taking 42 wickets in both one-dayers and tests and 18 in T20Is. In 2018, the 27-year-old English sensation made his IPL debut for the Rajasthan Royals against the Mumbai Indians. In 35 IPL contests, Archer has taken 46 wickets.

In IPL 2021 and 2022, MI had two average seasons in a row where they didn’t make the playoffs. The team led by Rohit Sharma will try to put an end to this dull streak. Their first goal should be to make it to the final four, preferably in the top two, so they have more chances of making it to the final.

MI won a record-breaking five IPL championships in 2023, one less than their greatest adversaries, the Chennai Super Kings.
