Suyash Sharma, Venkatesh Iyer, and Shardul Thakur are all expected to play for KKR against RCB in IPL 2023.

In the forthcoming IPL 2023 encounter between KKR and RCB, Shardul Thakur is anticipated to rejoin the starting lineup. Here is their expected starting lineup.

On April 26, the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will face off at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. KKR has dropped four straight games and will want to turn things around against RCB with a good performance to turn their season around. KKR is ninth out of ten teams in the standings with two victories and five losses after seven games.

following the loss against Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the opening game. In the rematch, Kolkata Knight Riders easily defeated RCB at Eden Gardens. They then won their second straight game by defeating Gujarat Titans (GT) by three wickets in a nail-biting contest at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

However, the batters were unable to duplicate their feats against SRH, falling 23 runs short of the 228 run goal in Kolkata. The Mumbai Indians (MI) defeated KKR the following day at the Wankhede. Then, in Delhi, KKR was defeated by DC by four wickets. They came in second place behind a DC team that had already dropped all five of their games this season and was positioned near the bottom of the standings. Last time out, KKR lost for the fourth time in a row as they fell to CSK by 49 runs after failing to reach a lofty 236 run mark.

As in the previous games, the top order failed once more. In the seven games that KKR has played thus far, they have already employed five different starting combinations. Jason Roy, Rinku, Iyer, and Rana all made efforts that helped KKR reach 186 against CSK in the end. Since Roy had left the field in the first inning owing to an injury, he did not start the innings against CSK. Since joining the team to replace Shakib Al Hassan, he has performed well.

For KKR this season, the middle of the lineup had come through in nearly every game. This season, Venkatesh Iyer has pitched seven innings and scored 254 runs. He has been well assisted by Rinku Singh and captain Nitish Rana, who have scored 233 and 181 runs, respectively.

In the forthcoming game, Jason Roy and Jagadeesan are anticipated to start the batting order.

For KKR this season, the spinners have primarily taken wickets. With a combined economy of 8, Sunil Narine, Varun Chakravarthy, and Suyash Sharma have taken 23 wickets. Russell has contributed as well, taking 3 wickets, but he has given up many runs. He has also had a disappointing season at the plate.

This season’s seamers have disappointed and have taken a beating all over the field. In the seven games, Umesh Yadav, Tim Southee, Lockie Ferguson, and Shardul Thakur have combined for just six wickets.

Kulwant Khejroliya recently took the place of Shardul Thakur in the starting XI. Although he has taken two wickets so far, he is giving up more than 14 runs per over. Thakur might replace David Wiese in the lineup if Khejroliya doesn’t recover.

Suyash Sharma might be used as the impact player in the second innings if KKR chooses to bat first. However, if they choose to field first, Venkatesh Iyer might be used as the Impact Player.
