After Spat With Virat Kohli, Naveen-Ul-Haq’s Replies To Shahid Afridi’s Advice

Naveen-ul-Haq’s previous exchange with former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi has gone viral following his spat with Virat Kohli.

On Monday night, the IPL 2023 encounter between Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Ekana Cricket Stadium was plagued by controversy. The RCB won the game by 18 runs, and by the time the game ended, so much had happened in the game that its aftereffect included players from both sides engaging in verbal disputes. The fight involved RCB batter Virat Kohli, LSG pacer Naveen-ul-Haq, and mentor Gautam Gambhir.

Naveen’s previous exchange with former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi has gone viral following his spat with Kohli.

Naveen got involved in a verbal argument with former Pakistan pacer Mohammad Amir during the match between Kandy Tuskers and Galle Gladiators in the first edition of the Lanka Premier League (LPL).

Following their heated exchange, Afridi, the then-captain of the Galle Gladiators, gave Naveen some advice during the traditional handshake at the end of the game.

Afridi revealed what he actually told the Afghanistan pacer on Twitter. Naveen responded boldly to Afridi on the microblogging service. The exchange has since gone viral.

“My advice to the young player was simple, play the game and don’t indulge in abusive talk. I have friends in Afghanistan team and we have very cordial relations. Respect for teammates and opponents is the basic spirit of the game.”

Meanwhile Naveen replied “Always ready to take advice and give respect,Cricket is a gentleman’s game but if someone says you all are under our feet and will stay their then he is not only talking about me but also talking abt my ppl. #give #respect #take #respect
