Yashasvi Jaiswal has his first practice on the net before the WTC final.

Yashasvi Jaiswal, who bats first for the Rajasthan Royals (RR), had his first training session before the World Test Championship (WTC) final against Australia on June 7 at the Oval.

Ruturaj Gaikwad is getting married on June 3, so Jaiswal was brought in as a backup player.

The 21-year-old was seen practicing his hitting and talking with Ravichandran Ashwin. He was also seen getting hitting tips from Virat Kohli, who used to lead India.

Even though Jaiswal hasn’t played for India yet, he has been very consistent in first-class cricket, averaging 80.21 in 15 games.

The young player’s Ranji Trophy 2022–2023 season was very good. He scored 315 runs in five games, with an average of 45, including a hundred and fifty.

Then, in the Irani Cup match against Madhya Pradesh, he scored 213 and 144, which helped the Rest of India beat Madhya Pradesh by 238 runs.

Team India’s captain Rohit Sharma and the in-form Shubman Gill are expected to bat first in the big game.

AB de Villiers said of Yashasvi Jaiswal, “He has everything he needs to become great.”
Former South African star AB de Villiers said that the starter for the Rajasthan Royals, Yashasvi Jaiswal, was the best player in the IPL season that just ended.

During the 2023 IPL season, Yashasvi Jaiswal was on fire. He scored 625 runs for the Rajasthan Royals, with an average of 48.07 and a strike rate of 163.61.

AB de Villiers told Jio Cinema before the IPL final:

“Yashasvi Jaiswal for sure, and by a wide margin.” He is a young player who knows every shot in the book. He has a cool and controlled demeanor at the wicket, and I like what he does, overpowering the bowlers and always appearing to be in command. Shubman is a little older, but I believe Jaiswal has a long way to go and all the credentials to become a great

Jaiswal finished sixth in the Orange Cap race and was named the season’s Emerging Player.

Earlier in the season, the southpaw earned his first IPL century against the Mumbai Indians before establishing the record for the fastest 50 in league history off only 13 balls against the Kolkata Knight Riders.

Following his spectacular exploits in the IPL 2023, some analysts and fans have proclaimed Yashasvi Jaiswal as the future superstar of Indian cricket.
