Josh Hazlewood, an Australian bowler who plays in the Indian Premier League (IPL), was very impressed with Mohammad Siraj’s recent play for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL 2023.
This season, Siraj was a very different person than he was last season. One of the most obvious changes he made over the past year was how accurate he was in the powerplay and how he controlled his line and length in the death. Since Hazlewood was hurt for most of the IPL, Siraj made sure that RCB didn’t miss him for even a second.
The 29-year-old bowler was up to par in all of the stats that bowlers can get.
“I was a bit late getting there (to RCB this year), but before then he was on fire,” Hazlewood said, as reported by the International Cricket Council (ICC).
Hazlewood said, “He’s always near the top of the wickets, and the economy rate was probably the thing. Sometimes it’s impossible to bowl at Chinnaswamy, RCB’s home ground, and he was going at six or six-and-a-half an over.”
Siraj will face Australia in the World Test Championship 2023 final, which begins on June 7 at the Oval in London.
The majority of the Indian squad landed in the UK on Tuesday, and they will be hoping to seize the chance and win the WTC Final. Last year, New Zealand defeated India in the World Test Championship final.
There are a few players that might be vital for India in their critical encounter.
Virat Kohli, India’s star batsman, will be the one to watch, having scored 8416 runs in 183 innings. In 2019, he had the highest score of 254 against South Africa. In Test cricket, he has 28 hundreds and 28 half-centuries. His batting average is 48.93.
