Friends Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan take a break while the final preparations for the WTC are being made.

Get ready for a friendly game of cricket! As the final of the World Test Championship (WTC) draws near, both the Australian and Indian teams are doing everything they can to get ready. But even though they train hard, the friendship between Indian bowlers Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan keeps growing like a well-timed cover drive. The International Cricket Council (ICC) recently posted a picture that went viral on social media of the two young stars hanging out and having fun while practicing.

“Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill are ready for the WTC23 Final and are taking it easy,” In the description, ICC wrote:

It looks like these two friends have found the right mix between working hard and having fun. Gill and Kishan take a break from their hard training sessions to hang out and sit together on the field in a set of pictures.

All through their lives, their close friendship and bond have been clear. In fact, they played against each other several times in the just-ended 2023 season of the Indian Premier League, where they showed off their skills on different teams.

Gill had a great season, and Indian fans are hoping that he will do well at The Oval in London. On June 7, the one-off test will begin.

Gill is almost certain to be in the starting XI for the upcoming Test series, but Kishan’s chances are not as clear. Kishan has not yet played in a Test match. He was added to the team as a cover for KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant, who were both hurt. But he will have to do better than KS Bharat if he wants to play against Australia in the final match.

There are also rumors that Kishan hurt himself during net practice, which makes things even more complicated. It is said that Aniket Chowdhury got the Mumbai Indians starter on the arm with one of his throws. The medical staff allegedly rushed to check out the injury, and Kishan ended up wearing a bandage for the rest of the practice session.
